Where is the lie, Sam?

Kalispell, MT – Today, lobbyist and former part-time smokejumper Sam Forstag launched a new ad campaign called “Pure Lies,” where his campaign repeats tired tropes such as don’t believe the nonsense and lies. The ad was a real head scratcher because the Forstag campaign failed to actually call out any lies.

The Flint campaign launched an aggressive attack exposing lobbyist Sam Forstag’s record of lobbying for the most extreme liberal positions. This isn’t a lie. It’s his own record. Below is his personal LinkedIn account detailing his part-time firefighting and years of lobbying dating back to 2016.

Questions for Sam Forstag:

1. Does Forstag refute the fact he has spent several years lobbying?
2. Does Forstag believe the lobbying disclosure forms filed with the State are fraudulent?
3. How much did Forstag make lobbying for the ACLU, as a partner at the Central House Strategies lobbying firm, and as the lobbyist for the federal employees union?
4. Does Forstag believe his record is off limits when running for Congress?
5. Why does Forstag refuse to acknowledge his professional experience?

Review the facts for yourself:

Claim: Sam Forstag has spent most of his professional career as a full-time lobbyist.

Evidence: Forstag first started lobbying in 2016 when he pressed the legislature to raise taxes. He then time as the in-house lobbyist for the ACLU of Montana before becoming a partner at the Central House Strategies lobbying firm. His clients included the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, the City of Missoula, the Montana Library Association, and other left-wing organizations.

Claim: “Sam Forstag lobbied the Montana legislature to let men play women’s sports and enter the locker rooms of my girls.”

Evidence: On behalf of the ACLU, he opposed legislation protecting girls’ sports and restricting gender-transition procedures for minors. He also lobbied against a bill that would ban drag shows from targeting children at schools and libraries.

Claim: Sam is endorsed by DSA thought leaders Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and self proclaimed socialist Senator Bernie Sanders.

Evidence: Before the primary, Sam proudly displayed endorsements by both AOC and Bernie on his website. Just because he wants to hide them now, doesn’t change the facts.
