About Aaron

Veteran, Father, Husband, and fifth-generation Montanan. Learn more about Aaron and his journey to Congress.
Aaron Flint is a decorated combat veteran, a father and husband, and a fifth-generation Montanan who has been fighting for our Western way of life every day on the radio. Now he’s raising his hand to serve Montana again by running for Congress.

Aaron grew up in Glasgow and the Flathead, going back and forth between mom’s and dad’s house on the Amtrak or Highway 2. A working-class kid, Aaron always had a side hustle stuffing newspapers or bussing tables after school. He graduated from the University of Montana, where he met the love of his life, Jessica. They are raising three great kids. Their oldest, Matthew, hopes to join the military, and Jaxson and Brooklyn are busy doing what kids should be doing: playing school sports, studying hard, and building a work ethic of their own.

After the terrorist attacks of September 11th, Aaron volunteered to serve his country. He spent more than 20 years in the United States Army National Guard and Reserves. He led combat patrols in the streets of Iraq and the mountainous outposts of Afghanistan and joined special operations- supporting high-profile missions hunting terrorists in Africa and the Middle East. He earned two Bronze Stars for his service and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Aaron was always driven to succeed. He was student body president at U of M, and started working for Senator Conrad Burns when he was just 19 years old. But the Army instilled in him a deeper sense of responsibility and a core belief that leadership requires putting others first.
Outside of his military career, Aaron followed in his grandparents' footsteps and went into the local news business. When the public trust in media began to erode, he stayed connected to Montanans on the radio—giving good people a voice and a place to be heard.

For years, he has spent his mornings on the radio, getting to work before the sun comes up like a lot of Montanans. He talks with Montanans about their jobs, their families, and the challenges weighing on their lives. His statewide radio show became a place where people feel heard and understood.

What he hears every day is consistent: people are working harder than ever but falling behind. Housing is increasingly unaffordable. Public lands are being fenced off and access rationed. Montana is changing, often not for the better.

He also used that microphone to advocate for what he believes in. That boys are boys and girls are girls, that the world is safe when America is strong, that we need to put America and Americans first, and that we need to protect and promote our Montana history, heritage, and way of life before it’s stripped away. Using his microphone as a platform is what earned Aaron a spot in the Montana Rodeo Hall of Fame, advocating for our Western way of life.
Washington has been overtaken by radical politicians whose policies threaten Montana’s way of life. AOC, Mamdani, and Bernie want to flip the House and turn the US socialist. Eliminate private property, ban pickups and fossil fuels, put men in little girls’ locker rooms, and re-open the borders for illegal aliens and deadly drugs. Aaron knows the only thing stopping them is Montana voters.

Aaron’s family homesteaded near Opheim and Niarada, Montana. East and West. They worked for everything they had, and would hardly recognize what is happening to the state today.

Aaron Flint is running for Congress because it’s time to fight back and course-correct: to make a high school degree worth something again, to promote trades and common sense, to manufacture and mine in Montana, and to make the Montana Dream affordable again.
