Montana mother and daughter athletes call out Sam Forstag’s lobbying record opposing bills protecting women’s sports
Kalispell, MT. – Republican congressional candidate Aaron Flint released a new campaign ad today featuring Montana high school athlete Razel Graf and her mother and coach, Erin Graf, an All-American athlete at Montana State. In the ad, Razel and Erin call out Sam Forstag for lobbying the Montana Legislature to allow biological boys to compete in girls’ sports and to allow men to share a locker room with girls.
“It’s common sense: girls should never be forced to compete against boys or share their locker rooms with men,” said Aaron Flint. “Sam Forstag picked his side when he lobbied for a radical trans agenda and against hard working female athletes. My daughter shouldn’t lose her spot on the court to a boy or be forced to share a locker room with a man.”
While employed as a lobbyist for the ACLU, Forstag lobbied against Montana’s Save Women’s Sports Act, which protects opportunities for female athletes by ensuring women’s school sports remain reserved for biological women and girls. In a now-deleted social media post, Forstag says biological boys playing girls sports is the “most basic civil right,” but ignores the rights of women and girls who fought for years for equality in sports.
“Sam Forstag lobbied the Montana Legislature to let men play women’s sports and enter the locker rooms of my girls,” Erin says in the ad. “That’s not right, safe or fair,” replied Razel.
