Flint’s mother Karen shares how he went to work at a young age to help their family
Kalispell, MT — Today, Republican congressional candidate Aaron Flint released a new general election advertisement featuring his mother, Karen, and the story of his working-class upbringing.
“I’m proud of my mom for so many reasons. When I was a kid she worked nights and holidays at the motel to make ends meet. Her work ethic inspired me to get jobs to help out, and I’m grateful for the lessons she taught my brother and me,” said Aaron Flint. “It’s people like my mom that I will fight for in Congress every day. Railroaders, waitresses, hair stylists, and skilled laborers who work hard, do the right thing, and take pride in their community. That’s what this campaign is about.”
In the ad, Flint’s mother recounts raising Aaron on her own and working two jobs to keep the lights on. She shares how Aaron took jobs as a child to help her and later worked in restaurants to pay for college before joining the Army.
“Aaron understands Montanans are struggling,” Flint’s mother says in the ad. “In Congress, he’ll cut your taxes and lower the cost of housing, energy and health care. Aaron’s on your side because he walked in your shoes.”
The ad follows Flint’s first advertisement of the general election, which focused on his commitment to skilled trades and trades education. The new spot continues emphasizing the major themes of his campaign by focusing on Flint’s plans to cut taxes and lower the major costs facing Montana families like housing, energy and health care.
